Long Travel Front Towers, Pair
Designed for the off-road enthusiast, this kit is a staple for Baja Bugs, sand rails, and dune buggies. It transforms a standard VW Link Pin front end into a high-performance, long-travel suspension system capable of soaking up deep ruts and landing jumps on demanding terrain.
Core Attributes & Specifications:
- (2) 10-inch taller towers that allow for significantly greater vertical wheel movement compared to factory settings.
- Heavy-Duty build fabricated from rugged 1/4-inch thick steel, these towers are engineered to endure the extreme leverage and punishing impacts of desert racing.
- Includes Lower Shock mount extension hardware for long-stroke shocks (such as Bilstein or KYB). When paired with EMPI Long Travel Coil-Overs (#17-2819-1), you gain a 23.45-inch extended length with up to 8.65 inches of stroke.
- This is a weld-on modification. It requires removing the stock towers and precisely welding the new ones in place.
Pro-Tip: Always ātackā the towers and cycle the suspension through its full range of motion before final welding to prevent shock binding or bottoming out.
